Burst Pipes & Mains Leaks

Burst pipes typically fail at frozen sections in lofts, at compression joints under sinks, or at copper-to-plastic transitions. We isolate at the nearest valve, drain down, cut out the failed section, and either remake the joint with proper jointing compound or replace the failed pipework. Frost-prevention insulation (Class O lagging) fitted to vulnerable runs as standard during any emergency call where loft pipes have failed.

No Heat & No Hot Water

Most no-heat calls trace to one of five faults: boiler lockout (PCB, fan or pressure sensor), failed diverter valve, frozen condensate pipe, low system pressure, or thermostat / programmer failure. We carry common spares for Worcester, Vaillant and Ideal — most callouts are resolved on the first visit. Where parts must be ordered, temporary electric heaters can be loaned to vulnerable households.

Suspected Gas Leaks

If you smell gas: turn off at the meter, open windows, do not switch any electrics on or off, and call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999. Then call us. We attend after the network engineer has made the mains safe and isolate, test and repair the internal pipework. Every gas repair is followed by a tightness test and a Gas Safe certificate.

Blocked & Backing-Up Drains

Internal blockages (sinks, baths, toilets) are typically cleared with mechanical rodding and high-pressure flush. External soil-stack blockages need rodding from the manhole, sometimes with a CCTV camera to identify root ingress or collapsed clay sections. We coordinate with drainage specialists for major collapses; for everyday blockages we resolve same-day.
